Display fly

Found some cool rocks at one of my job sites a little while back so I had a idea to display a few flies on them. I’m guessing the home owner was a rock hound and was into cutting up rocks. I just picked up a few from his scrap pile. I think they make nice displays myself. I have a few more to do still.

Nicely displayed, the Speys are gorgeous
Your BM wing work is impeccable.
Those stones are very cool.
This is a very unique idea !! Thanks for sharing

If I would ever attempt a display, I would do something like this ... it would be like real life, since that's where many of my flies end up

Nick,

It will be real tough to improve the above two flies. I like the BM wings and sparse throat hackle, especially.

Displaying your flies on unusual stones is a great idea. Thanks for sharing your fine work with us.

The Black King is one of my favorites and I have one in the vise right now.

Doug

That was not a bad cast. I was just casting to the nearby fish.
