I really don't remember why I tied this (I think it was because I was challenged by another fly I tied on a double hook that turned out alright). It is from Kelson's book as the "Variegated Sun Fly" (it is to specs ""6 toppings"). I wanna thank George for the fine silk gut.
It is not a fishing fly, unfortunately, but just a practice in stupidity.

I have had success with a Dee Sun Fly at home with steelhead ... I think there is going to be a "Sun Fly Day" this trip

I have a couple runs in mind and hope the weather cooperates too.
I will look for a stout iron, or at least one fashioned from heavy wire ... no doubles allowed during the fall runs.
