First Green Highlander

After a very busy summer of buying a house and remodeling, I haven't had much time to tie for myself. I finally got a break this week to sit down and really work on putting together a proper full dress fly, my first real attempt at it. Challenging to say the least, but I learned a ton and ended up with a fly I'll be glad to swing in front of some steelhead this fall.

Any constructive criticism or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Mend it!

A good start on the Classic journey with your first attempt. Be prepared to call a therapist shortly, as this can be addictive.

Keep up the good tying and send more pictures of your progress.

That was not a bad cast. I was just casting to the nearby fish.
