The squidler

Came up with this abomination a few days ago. Took it for a test on Thursday and hooked a beautiful 15-20 lb chrome rocket! Was all the proof I needed. I’ll be making a few more for next winter! Tied on a size 2 blue heron.

Really cool! That sounds like a great fish. How did you fish this fly? Was it a surface grab?

I fished it on T10 and about a 2’ leader.

I think the rubber legs are a nice trigger as they vibrate and create noise in the water. I also like that you used them sparingly....

Now to make it really funky you should tie it on a tube
