Lady Caroline (Bronze Mallard) Q?

Do you stack multiple Bronze Mallard Roofs on your Lady Caroline?

Nowadays I prefer to do wing slips of turkey and do bronze mallard shoulders or as a roof.
Back when I was doing full mallard wings, single slip on either side.

Yes, 2 sets of BM wings, the first set a few fibers less than the second.

Mend it!

A second set will give much more profile when swimming. The second layer also seats itself significantly easier than the first, effectively cleaning up any imperfections of the first layer

I do a double stack of Bronze mallard putting all 4 slips on at the same time as shown in Davey MacPhail's U-tube video.

Should do two sets. An under wing a bit smaller than the outer wing.a cool trick I was shown is to leave your wing slips on the stem of the feather. What this does for you is keeps the fibres together and this way if you are not happy with how you set the wing you can undo it and retry without having the feather come apart on you. This trick helped me out a lot! As I am always readjusting my wings. Maybe this is common practice I don’t know but hopefully it will help someone out!
