Work Horse

A favored color combination. Tied on a Jackson 3/0. The hackle is burnt goose.

Marty,

You have the talent of a magi.

Thanks for sharing the many flies you have posted.

Doug

That was not a bad cast. I was just casting to the nearby fish.

Marty, jump on a jet and bring that fly along with you and swing it in the Miramichi this fall. Sweet one.

Virgin Galactic might be interested in that design for their suborbital lander. Wonderful.

Jim

Here is a SBS for this style of fly. The only difference is I used seal dubbing for the front half of the body.

https://www.speypages.com/speyclave/...git-dance.html

Hook: Alec Jackson 3/0
Thread: 6/0 black
Tip: Silver oval tinsel
Tag: Orange floss
Butt: Orange ostrich
Rib: First half, silver oval tinsel. Second half flat orange Mylar tinsel followed by silver oval tinsel
Body: First half, black dubbing. Second half orange dubbing
Hackle: First half, black saddle hackle. Second half, orange burn goose
Collar: Black schlappen followed by a few turns of Gadwal flank feather
Wing: Turkey
Cheeks: Jungle cock

I think that you need to add that the tail is GP crest dyed red and a small orange weaver feather for a tail veil.
