OK I cant help it I keep on copying RLM. Though I'm allot slower. Thanks for the inspiration.

AH Very nice Phil. 1 Sugestion is when ou dub go with less dubbing yhe farther forward you go this will alow less bulk behind the head and allow a lower wing set

Phil,

Not bad at all. In addition to what Rocky mentioned, I'd use 5 turns of ribbing, even if it means using only a larger size of oval tinsel and leaving out the flat. Keep in mind that Glasso used 5 turns of ribbing except for the first few years he tied his spey flies. 5 turns of ribbing produces a bit better ballanced fly and with 5 turns, you can start the spey hackle at the 2nd turn of ribbing (which helps protect it and keep it from sliding off the rear of the body) and still have a nicely hackled spey fly.
