Feather Emporium ??????????

Has anyone dealt with Feather Emporium ? I ordered 2 Flat Wing Saddles for flat wing flies I swing on the Delaware. With the Striper run in approximately 30 days I need the Flat Wings. PayPal $90 on March 7th. His (David Roberts) phone is not taking voice messages and no response to e-mails. Did a internet search and looked him up on the BBB - Not good news "F" rating. Anyone out near Madison Wisconsin know this guy ? I did a search on his address, seems he works out of a 1200 sq. foot house. Any help would be appreciated.

Called me on the phone threatening me telling me he know where I live, ect. All because I posted a bad review about him as he sent me a $6 cape when I paid for a high quality Whiting. Police was involved and all. I would stay far.

Interesting. I will keep you posted. I was told that Whiting discontinued their business relationship with him. Where does he get his supply ?

A good friend of mine lives local and visits Dave at his place frequently. He still gets Whiting stock and I understand he is good friends with Dr. Tom.

I just got a large order from FE a week or two ago and am thrilled with my purchase, but I also had to chase him down with several calls to get it done. He has good product but poor business practice. Caveat emptor.

Got loopage?

prices alone are enough to keep me away - very similar product available from other (more reputable) vendors without hassling myself with incessant calls to get my stuff...

This topic comes up at least three times a year....not only on this board, but also others....

One thing I have learned, if you are dishonest in you business dealing, don't try to pull one over on this community. Word travels fast. Good luck getting your money back. If you need feathers send me an PM, I have found a great source.

ah, this guy again.

I wish somebody would call and threaten me.
I've very little to do and ample time. I would relish it.

search

I have never used him as a source but have looked at his sight in the past. A quick search this AM and that alone will turn anybody away. Even if 5% of what I read was true... Not Good

Appreciate the "heads up" on this vendor ... don't think I'll be making an order anytime soon from him.

Of all the vendors that we use, Feather Emporium is the only one that regularly comes up with negative reviews. He has Whiting logos all over his site and sells items that Whiting wont sell with their name on. In fairness he is a one man shop and is often on the road selling his stock. Still no reason for poor customer service. Lot's of reputable suppliers out there that to deal with.
Caveat emptor!
