There appear to be few variations of this Blue Moon pattern:

example below:

http - wildernessangler.blogspot.com/2008/10/eggabou-marabou-steelhead-fly.html = eggabou 'blue moon' with step by step:

and it appears that many of these are marabou patterns

Silver tinsel body
bump at the eye end of the body made of either silver tinsel chenile (or Estaz, etc.) or black chenile
first hackle is black marabou tied in by the tip and wound spider fashion
4-6 strands of blue Krystal Flash or Flashabou (tied it by folding the strands so there are 4-6 strands on each side of the fly)
Kingisher Blue maraboe tied in by tip and wound

That's all there is to the fly.

I prefer to tie in a tail of black Krystal Flash at the 1/2 shank length position, then tie in a short silver Estaz body followed by the black marabou, blue Krystal Flash, blue marabou, and then I like to add a face collar or hackle of dyed Kingfisher Blue or Black mallard flank one side stripped.
