Super ties, Marty.

Although the blue/black colour combo isn't much favoured for Atlantics here in UK/European waters, I'm sure that the style, regardless of specific colour combinations would do very well.

I love the orange version!

Thanks for sharing, and the super pics & stepped explanation.

Mike

Nice ties, love both versions! Thanks for posting the detailed instructions, I've printed them off to file and tie some up!

I was thinking yellow, orange and black kind of like the Cascade. I will be on the Black Water in April. I played around a little with marabous last time I was there, this time I will be fishing more speys and dees.

Yellow, black & orange in pairs or all three make up a huge proportion of flies used in the UK. Black on its own would also be good.

Are you off to the river Blackwater (Munster Blackwater) in Southern Ireland next year? I know several sections of the river quite well, those offered by Ian Powell of the Blackwater Lodge, and the section @ Lismore, although it has been a few years since I have fished there.

hareline Pro Grade Streamer Capes, I just ordered some new stuff I will let you know how it works. Just got back from a short trip to the Ronde. I hooked 5 fish, three of which came to the orange and black. Dec hooked a couple on his all red one. I am starting to really like this style of fly.
