Few recent flies

I've been busy with work and family but have still had some time at the vise thankfully.

I know the flag flies have been almost over done at this point, but there is a little story behind this one. My daughter is having surgery to remove a couple impacted teeth and the oral surgeon is a family friend. He waived the remaining money insurance wouldn't cover, which blew my wife away. Come to find out he's an avid fly fisherman so I tied him a flag fly with a custom powder coated hook and tinsel with real gold.

The pink fly is going to an auction for breast cancer awareness after I frame it, so hopefully it will generate a nice amount for the cause.

As always, thanks for looking,

Jon

I just showed these to my 5year old daughter. She said, "wow, those are beautiful!" I agree. Really impressive work there. Glad to hear you have a generous doctor/ dentist. What a blessing. All the best, Nate

You guys are way too kind, thank you.

Shawn,

I only use JEC floss if that's what you're referring to.

If it's the tinsel, it's Lagartun medium pearl white that George sent me last year.

yeah, I was referring to the white rear body.
I thought you had incorporated some pearsall's into it as it looks quite cordy.

cordy. there's a word.

now don't get me wrong, it looks great and very uniformed... I just thought it was a different material to silk.

cheers mate,
shawn
