springs on tube flies

new to tubes but my favourite colours are blues and greens for springs looking for any other sucessful colour combinations.Will be using in lower mainland british columbia on the vedder and fraser river.Rods will be speys with tips in 8wt and 9wt will these be strong enough to handle the fish thanks for all replies.
