Hooks feathers and floss book

After many conversations scott and I have figured out that the book idea is to much for us to take on at this time. I have spoke. With a few authors that most of us would know and got some really good feed back on what it would take to pull this project together.

Unfortunately, the funds we would be receiving for this book wouldn't really compare to the efforts put in. That being said I feel there are other ways of raising funds for the SSBC (scissor fundraiser). We still think it's a great idea and we may come back to it at some point in the future. For now with work and family it's to much to take on.

We really want to thank all of you for your support and encouragement with this project.

All the best

Ben

I just wanted to jump in here and echo what Ben has said.

We both think the idea of highlighting the talent on this site, and using it to benefit groups and organizations dedicated to conservation is a good one, there's no doubt in that. Unfortunately, as Ben has stated, we have had many conversations with people in the industry who have been involved with or have written books themselves, and the concerns are that we just do not have the time to dedicate to such a project. We both agreed that without the proper amount of time to commit, the quality would suffer, and that wouldn't do.

There was loads of support for the idea, and we appreciate that. It speaks to the quality of individuals that make up this site.

Thanks everyone,

Scott.

Well, thanks for the hard work you guys. We all know where to come to get our fly porn. I doubt that will change.

Scott and Ben,

Thank you for the effort put forth into this project!

I'm sure, just trying to figure out how to even begin, was an enormous amount of work!

Gratitude to you both,

-Bill
