As much as I tried I just wasn't motivated to tie something that I can't put my style in it. I am tying a fly my way inspired by Marty, I will finish when the coffee shakes go away. I did a Mylar rib, heavily dubbed the body, shlappen hackle, and gadwall collar. These are all things I don't normally do but are very much Howard trademarks if you ask me... Anyways, here is my progress and I hope it is received well even though it's not one of his patterns.

Well I decided to stay a bit more true to Marty's style and go with a hackle wing... I'm hoping to have time to tie another as I am really not happy with this one but I am certain it will fish, I used 6 hackle tips in the wing to compensate for the heavy dub and hackles. I hope it's up to par guys

Sorry for not keeping up with the info. on where we are at.

I've been burning holes in my eyes searching for a new vehicle on-line to replace my truck that has a frame that's about to split in half!

Since the last update, flies have been received by hitcher, Rifflehitch, and Chief Jay. All very nice! Thanks guys!!

So with that, I'd really like to wrap this up. If you're sending a fly- get it in the mail, please! I'll give it one more week, then I have to start putting it all together.

Hopefully, by then I'll have a new truck and my stress level can go down, and I can concentrate on the more important things in life- like finally getting out to wet a line and swing some flees!!!!

Thanks again to everyone,
