Putting out the feelers right now until I decide on which one exactly but if you've got an 8 weight Burkheimer you're thinking about selling let me know!

8 weights

My first Burkie was the 8134, last year I got the 8133.... Not willing to sell, sorry buddy. I would recommend the 8133 it's amazing! Casts like a dream, and handles big fish like a champ! Good luck

ChuckE, what kind of lines are you using with the 8133? I'm kind of torn between 8134 and 8133 at the moment. BTW, I've got a older style 7127 that I really enjoy but I'm looking for something to deal with heavier wind and sinking lines/sink tips.

8133-3

When fishing in wind or with heavy tips I find the 8133-3 to be an absolute Skagit cannon with an airflow compact 630. It makes for incredibly effortless casting. It's a great stick.I couldn't believe it when I first cast the 8133-3. I really want to try a 14'+ Burkie. Anyone want to pay one forward? LOL
my 2 cents

Thumbs up Cfb 9145-4= power!!!

The CFB 9145-4 is an absolute cannon, fires a 650-700 grn skagit and tips through pretty much any kind of wind you might dare go out and attempt to fish in..and cuts through the wind as if it's not there...honestly!!!..OOOHHH YEAH!!

8133

I've got a chopped Carron 65 ft head for the dry. A 625 gr Rio for the tips.

too funny what's the deal with super heavy lines???

try the 6/7 midspey on the 8133-3 casts like a dream.

that's the nice thing about having a heavy tip but a full flexing action you can throw just about anything well.

Burkie

I have a 13'1" 8/9 3pc. Burkie vintage rod that is unfished! I do not know it's age. I took it in on trade. Rob Allen might be able to know it's age.
