Pay it forward thread

Hi everyone,
Thought I'd try to start a thread where people can pass along things that they no longer have need for or for people to ask for something they may be in need of.
Maybe one of the mods can sticky this if there is interest in keeping this going.

To start this off I have a lightly used, older Guideline, size XL wading jacket, that I won as a raffle prize at a clave a few years ago. I paid nothing for it and therefore don't feel right about trying to sell it. I'll send it along to the first person that speaks for it. Cover the shipping charges and it's yours. I'd like to keep it in the lower 48 so I don't have to mess with international paperwork. Jacket is gone, off to Shotgunner.

Merry Christmas!

Seth

A few years ago I bought a reel lot in order to obtain one specific reel. There were 4 of these Cabelas Cahills in the mix. They are a pretty decent nock off of the Sage / Hardy 500 series. About 3 5/8" diameter, spool faces same as Sage. Two pics of the nock off and one of an actual Sage 508 [bottom pic] for comparison. Thumbnails are linked, click to up size.

Passing along at 5.00 per piece postage, two of these nock offs for a good fishing home. First two posts on this thread accepted, I'll P.M. for shipping info.

Encourage others to offer surplus or not not needed items

Shotgunner,

I could certainly put one of those reels to good use. This Echo that I rely on for the winter has started to misbehaving lately.

I will also pay it forward. Tonight I will put together a bag of tying materials for a couple of special flies. Anyone looking to try tying classic Spey, The Glen Grant, would do well to keep an eye on this thread.

I'll put it up later this evening or first thing in the morning. (Preparing for a party tonight.)

Scott.

Great Thread!

If I were not flying out in a few hours, I would be posting something to pass on. This is right up my alley. Kudos!

What a great idea Seth. I'm going to have a look at my stuff and see what is not needed to do my part.

Ha, what a great idea!

I've got a fishpond wading staff purchased a couple years ago from a SpeyPager which I have never used. Time to go to a new home.
Any takers? CONUS makes it easier.
The only thing I ask is to pass it on, don't resell....

I have a 2pc single handed 9'0 8wt rod that I built up and am no longer using do to the fact I started swingging a switch on local smaller water. Who ever can put it to use can have it. Good clean build that I lined with a 8wt steelhead tapper and found it to be a CANNON

Going to Jabrowning24 as of 9:30am

I'm all in on this. I have a barely used (cast twice?) Rio AFS full sinking 6/7 400 grn scandi head I will ship for free within CONUS. I think it is the s3/s4 sink rate but don't know for sure. Anyone want to get their hands on it? PM me.

someone claimed it...
