Classifieds IDEA......( Opinions Sought )

Good Morning Folks,

Hows it going.

Just killing time on the site as usual, and contemplating how everything changes and morphs over time.

I've noticed more and more that theres much more WTT WTBs appearing here (maybe its just me???)

Hope im not out of line for wondering aloud but, I wonder if Dana would be open to the idea of breaking this forums into those sub-divisions for the sake of clarity?

If its not a technical pain in the butt it would be nice to go to the place of my choice when looking to buy, sell, or swap.

Whattaya think?

.....And yes, if it were an economic issue I would be willing to again make a $$ contribution. This site is valuable in several ways.

SD

What I lack in skill --- I make up for with enthusiasm.

My 2 cents...

If you have time to kill it would seem you have time to sort out the WTT, WTB, WTS.

It ain't broke so they don't need to fix it.

How you get the line out and fishing is personal preference so as long as it works and is easy no one should care but the caster. MSB

I'd just as soon keep it as it is. One "marketplace" for all things sold, bought, traded. I enjoy perusing the classifieds to see the activity of forum, whether its buying or selling, etc. I think it's easy enough to decipher what kind of post it is base on the subject line.

I like the volume of traffic on the classifieds, it keeps things moving along, and gives me an excuse to check here 10x a day.

Works for me ..... As is. I agree with Poppy.

"There will always be days when the fishing is better than ones most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. *Either is a gain over just staying home."

If you are looking for something

Go to the classified section. It's all there, latest stuff listed first. If you are really looking in earnest, configure your user CP for instant notifications by email & post an add.

I fish because the voices inside my head tell me to.

Leave it Alone!

I strongly believe in the old saying--if it ain't broke don't try to fix it.

Another vote here for leave it as is.

Everyone looks at the for sale ads, so it provides a wider audience for the WTB ads. The WTB ads often prompt people to sell things that are languishing, just because they now see an opportunity.

The British Fly Fishing forum that I frequent has 72 different forums. Seems to me that less is best...

Yes you do, Fred. Seems that you are slacking here with only about 7000 posts and almost 16,000 there.
