Leather Reel Cases

I am taking now orders for the new reel cases. Here is a bit of information about Buffalo leather and why it makes a great reel case.

First off it's a natural material that breathes, a lot like our skin, and releases moisture. Thats a good thing for a fly reel case. The worst thing you can do is have a moisture trap with a classic reel.

Buffalo leather products will not stretch out of shape. As man-made materials are wearing out and starting to look like junk. A leather reel case becomes more supple and rugged looking throughout the years.

One thing comes to mind Durable The durability of buffalo leather is legendary. It is one of the strongest upholstery materials known to man; its strength and elasticity give it high resistance to ripping. These cases will not pill up over time.

Care Buffalo leather is easy to clean and has a smooth finish and strong fibers that prevent any penetration of sand, sun, or fish slime. Cleaning with a soapy cloth directly after a spill is best. Buffalo leather responds beautifully to annual conditioning. It develops a rich patina over time that makes it your own “antique”.

If you have a speyco reel or any other classic reel that you want to protect look no further. This is the most Affordable well made product on the web, and believe me looked around for reel cases.

The large fits all my 4" and 4 1/4" spey reels. $80
The medium will fit 3" to 3.5" reels. $70
Here is the link for purchase. SUMMER SPEY REELS

SORRY THIS PICTURE SUCKS, BUT THE CASES DO NOT

The cases are lined with wool. Here is a picture with one of my 4" Snake roll reels in its new happy home. Thanks for the question.

Another Question.

Tim, is there a version of this that can be used when the reel is actually on the rod? Hope so as that Puppy Hunts!

On rod, reel case

I would buy two if there was a model that fit on the reel, while attached to the rod...

I'd buy a 4" version if you could make one to fit over the rod. Those look pretty sweet!

Those are beautiful. Nice material and craftsmanship; well done. I too would be interested in a model that fit over the rod.

Out of curiosity, is the leather from African buffalo, Asian water buffalo, or American bison?
