Hardy Perfect 4.25" 1912 Check RHW

Gorgeous looks, gorgeous sound. All original. Smooth, full-length brass foot with a slight bend on one side, easily straightened if bothersome. Turks head locking nut, fat ivorine handle, and the best, most beautiful check ever made. No line guard on this model, suggesting it is a little earlier than most. About 20-30% lead finish remaining...greying beautifully over the years. Line burn on the bottom pillar from previous life; can be fished as is or easily dealt with by a drop of JB Weld if it concerns you. 100% functional and the spool fit is super tight. If there is any spool wobble, I cannot detect it, and that is the critical factor on these older reels.

These don't surface very often, so drop me a line if you are interested.

$1600 OBO

I have an oversized non-Hardy period block leather case for additional cost if interested.

Split-cane,

Don't be surprised if guys are a bit cautious. A first-time poster, without any speypages history, who gets his feet wet by offering a $1600 classic reel will cause a bit of concern, I think.

I'm sure you're a great guy and I wish you good luck. But a bit of introduction of yourself and history of the reel might go along way around here.

My two cents. Hope you understand.

I have done business with Chris in the past and he is a great guy to deal with. Very positive experience and we was more than accommodating.
