FS: Daiwa 812 click & pawl Spey reel c/w spare spool

Daiwa 812 Click & pawl reel for sale.

Made by J.W Young for Daiwa, this is a classic English ratchet reel. Ventilated back plate sets it apart from the Youngs 1535. Structurally perfect some light scuffiing on the back plate but otherwise in good condition. Spare spool included.

Drag adjustment is via rim mounted brass screw. spare springs and pawl will be included.

4 1/4" diameter, narrow spool, ideal for an 8/9 spey line, weighs 11.7oz.

$150 inc postage.

JUST A THOUGHT.
Apart from the cage of the Daiwa 812/813 being ported these reels were manufactued by J.W. Youngs in England and are the same as the 1535 and 1540, other than the name decal.
I suspect a lot of us assume the name "Daiwa" is synonimous with cheap low-end tackle, this is not always the case. Consider the Daiwa rods made in Scotland(read Dana,s reveiw).
