Mulder,
Have you seen the S2 Connect belly that Great Lakes Flyfishing has? Maybe that would work for you. Relatively inexpensive in the overall scheme of things...

Vacation for me this week!

Are you familiar with the DDC Connect line? That line has always been available as a floating or intermediate belly with interchangeable tips. They now offer it in a faster sinking S2 belly. It all comes down to the versatility of the system for me. I've been using the intermediate belly for a few years now and the S2 is a welcome addition in my eyes. Great Lakes Flyfishing has the S2 belly-only available so you don't have to buy all of the tips if you already have those needs covered.

vacation NICE!!

Yeah I have a DDC connect for my 15 footer. I am looking to get a set up for a 13 footer I just grabbed. I have a set of power tapers that were cut down and they are a bit on the short side. They feel good but whenever I extend and put a little monkey on it I seem to blow the anchor ever time. So was looking to get something in full length. But a DDC set up might just be the way to go. Just don't feel like dropping 2 bills on a line and tips.....again.

I think the S2 belly-only is $65.00, add the tips that you already have and you're good to go. I fish a full length DDC Connect on my 13'6" with no problems.

Yup.. 65.00.. I picked one up at Speyfest from Great Lakes Fly Fishing. Same idea reversed. Already had a 9/10 cut short to fit a 12'4" 8/9 rod, all 5 tips. A new 9/10 S2 Belly for a long rod, tips in hand, worked out great. Other than the low water! They dig in pretty strong.
