SA Fly Fishing Mastery Fly Line GPX Taper WF12F Green

Used, but still in good condition. I used it for nymphing. Now I'm going to a lighter line.

$25 shipped to the CONUS

Here's the info:
GPX - General Presentation Taper
Applications:
* Made half-size heavier to better load fast-action graphite rods and deliver terrestrials, nymphs, and other bigger, heavier trout flies
* Welded Streamlined Loop - slick and strong - for easy connections and seamless fishing (front)

WF Taper Characteristics:
* Designed to excel for most flies and conditions
* Medium front taper with slightly oversized tip for high floatation and strong delivery with bigger flies and in the wind

make a compact skagit?

Some more info.

I used it on a 6126 as a nymphing line. I only used about half the head when casting, since the head is 45' long. I'm guessing the head weighs in around 700 gr. Half would be 350. The entire line is 95'. I was looking to have some heavier line for mending.

But it might work to cut the head back by around half and have a compact skagit like set up??

cutting a WF12

WF12 lines typically run 14-15 gr/ft at their thickest part, though the GPX might weigh 1 gr/ft extra. A 20' head of the thickest part will weigh ~ 300 gr +/-. I use WF11-12-13 lines to make one-piece compact skagits for single hand rods
