14’ rod tube wanted

One more try: does anyone have an extra 14’ rod tune they want to sell?

You can easily make one using PVC tubes and available fittings.

Just some ideas....

If you want economical do a search on “Plano 4442 Fabric Rod Tube, 42-Inch” on amazon. We are not allowed to post direct links to commercial site here, but those go for less than $20. Hard plastic tube covered with nylon and a zippered cap opening. I have two of these and zero complaints, even though I also have many Al tubes, and some nice Harding and Sons ones to compare them with. They aren’t as nice as the Harding and Sons ones, which you can’t get now anyway, but somewhat similar design and cost like 1/4 the $$. I have an expensive 14’ 4” 4 piece in one of those.

Lately I have also grown to like using heavyweight cardboard mailing tubes. I put some fishing related stickers on the outside, glue the bottom cap in, and a put a nice label on the other cap, and they look like designer rod tubes - at least to my low-end tastes. In most cases I find their main job is to protect the rods while in my car trunk, so ....

Plano 42” is the green thing.

Thanks for the ideas y’all. I appreciate your help. I’ll makeshift something or order one of those planos.
