I wonder why these old reels don't get more respect. (I have one so am fixed).
They are bomb proof and the drags work great but maybe they are clunky looking but the fish don't see them......
I bought mine new in 1984 for a trip to Christmas Island and it has worked well in salt and for single hand steelhead for a lot of years. I carry it as a back up for a spey rod as well. On at least 3 occasions over the years when bonefishing it performed extremely well when other much more modern reels gave up the ghost. It's a serious reel and it looks to me that this is a really cheap price for something that never fails.
It get's no respect............and should.
Let's see, you could buy 10 of these for the price of some of those shiny ones!!
