WTB Harding & Sons Rod Cases

Looking for a buddy who is hoping to find a couple of the Harding & Son Spey rod cases. These are the clamshell style that allow the reel to be stored on the rod. They went out of business a while back but hoping someone has one or more gathering dust.

He is looking for one that holds a 16 4-piece (50.5 longest piece) as well as one that holds a 12 4-piece (38 longest piece). Up to 3-4 longer on either would probably work.

I know that Clear Creek makes a similar case but the quality and the padding is not the same as the old H&S.

If anyone has any in decent condition, please let me know.

Hey Duggan, would you happen to have a sample picture by any chance? I have been considering an attempt to build what you describe with my modest carpentry skills.

Dan - the carpentry comment made me chuckle.

Here is a pic of one of mine.

While doing a search on these cases I found Waters West(Port Angeles Wash.). They show these cases on their website. Maybe old stock? I don't know anything about them.

What a shame Harding no longer in business-great cases. Anyone know the story of their demise?
