Went to the Orvis outlet last year in Manchester, VT & picked up 2 Traveler vises - about $100 each. One was right handed, the other left. I kept the RH & sold the other to a friend who's also a RH. It made no difference to him. Also, both happened to have the "cam" lever. In thinking about it - when the vise is used as a rotary unit, those knobs on a LH vise for RH use would be on the vise's backside & out of the way when you spin or rotate it - might be a good thing. In retrospect, I wouldn't let a RH/LH situation keep me from buying & saving $100 - if you find you don't like it, you can always sell & get your money out of it.
