wtb: Comp and casting lines for 10wt CND spey rod

I have a CND rod that has a comp tip and a casting tip - 10wt, 15ft. I would like to fiddle around with the comp tip in my local pond. I am also looking for a long belly to use to fish (if I ever get to a river with some big fish). Maybe a gaelforce or nextcast? I have no idea about what lines are good. The gentleman that sold me the rod said that he cast "Nextcast WA 7/8 on this rod although it can handle a NC WA8/9 easily." The rod was a "limited edition and I believe it was their comp rod model prior to the BV Ultimate Fifteen."

I have a Gaelforce comp line that has been cut to 66' and 886 grains and is still in decent shape. I have used it to add different driver sections to the back of the line to test for length and weight on my comp rod. However, if your rod will "handle a NCWA 8/9 easily" this line might be a fair bit too heavy as is, even with the 10wt tip. But, you could cut it from the back to match your rod like these lines are designed to do. I'd sell it for $80 shipped to the CONUS. Shoot me a PM if interested or you have any questions.

I see you're a shvingger too!

A Cortland Precision WF8F Longbelly Spey came to me on a purchased reel. It's used, in good condition; a fishing line, not a comp line, but its specs should make it useable on your rod. The total length is 144 feet! It has a bright green 19' tip section; the rest of the belly is orange, and the running line is a paler green. The total head, to the running line, is 79 feet and weighs 685 grains. $25 shipped.

Go with the NC WA70 8/9 to start and adjust up or down as necessary.

Call Poppy at the Redshed as he has come up with a custom cut and looped Gaelforce 63 that has impressed quite a few people down in Longbeach casting club........any other real comp lines will be too heavy for your rod as they are usually a 12 wight plus proposition....this one is a no brainer, just call Poppy
