Charlton Model 8500 1.2 w/ extra spool

sI have a gently used Charlton 8500 1.2 Signature Series reel and spare spool. The reel is setup for LEFT HAND RETRIEVE. The reel and spool come with both of the original green cases. Charlton reels are the finest engineered reels to ever hit the market. The drag is infinitely adjustable, with settings delicate enough for light tippets and settings strong enough to stop the strongest offshore predator.

The dimensions of the reel are: 3.75" Diameter, 1.2" Width. There is very little sign of use on this reel. There is one small scuff on the bottom of the reel that would be hard to notice if you did not know that it was there. One spool is in as new condition. All imperfections are purely cosmetic, and would go un-noticed by most.

This is the "classic" Charlton model 8500 1.2 fly reel. The 1.2 model has a spool width of 1.20 inches with a diameter of 3.75 inches. A serious salt-water design for the taking of such species as large tarpon, trevally, dorado and countless other hard hitters. As with all Charlton 8500 series reels, the 1.2 features the sealed carbon fiber "self adjusting" disk drag system. With zero break-away friction, these reels maintain a constant line tension within tenths of an ounce at any RPM without fade. Line capacity for the 1.2 is 450 yards of 20# with WF-10 line and 500 yards of 50# braided spectron backing with WF-12 line. This powerhouse weighs in at 10 ounces.

The Charlton's with the completely sealed drag and the durable, brilliantly polished, Type III hard anodize, are engineered to maintain identical drag settings season after season, and built to be absolutely bullet proof for a life time! That's why many of the worlds distinguished anglers believe Charlton's are the most beautifully crafted and technologically advanced fly reels ever produced.

Do you still have the Charlton 1.2. Very interested I live in coastal Oregon and fish steelhead. Winter is coming and this reel would be great. You can email at [email protected] or call me at 541-760-5835.
