FS 3 3/4 raised piller vom hofe salmon , steelhead dry fly reel

For sale
a mint 3 3/4 raised piller vom hofe , i think this is what they called a model 51AD , reel has never been touched or fooled with as you can tell from the screw heads they not buggered up ,

the side plates are still super black and not faded as this reel has been in the block leather case for years , and no cracks anywhere , the pillers are the nickle silver and the foot is also nickle silver , the front screw has not a ding in it ,

you won't find one of these in better condition for it's age , some say it's a 30's reel , also been know as the ''dry fly reel'' for salmon , this is a great salmon and steelhead reel with a bit of class and would so sharp on a nice meiser spey rod ,

drag is marked on back '' light and heavy'' with about 5 spots in between , on the front of the reel is '' wm mills and sons'' , handle is straight across with counter balance on the other end , the leather case is good except the strap is broke , the buckle is fine , easy fix for a leather person , allot of these vom hofe's fetch upward of $2500 , this is just as good and asking $1300 , will give a 3 day inspection and if your not happy , 100% money back

Julius Vom Hofe I take it?

Back plate config. is different than any other I have seen, more like one of Edwards models.

Beautiful reel.

yes she's a sweet reel , myself i like using the old leaded hardys with round line guides , this reel sounds even better then my hardys , but i just can't bring myself to using it as so nice , you can't see it but on the back side it's stamped 'light to heavy'' you push that button in and turn the round knob to the settings , tough to find these reels in this condition with no cracks or been buggered with ,
and if i don't sell it , then i will bob meiser to make me a rod just for this reel and i will use it next fall on steelhead
