I have 2 of these model 0 LHW, so I'm looking to sell one to fund another purchase.

I'm the 3rd owner of this reel, but it has never been fished. The original owner mounted it on a rod to check the balance of it, which left a small mark on one of the reel feet. Otherwise, the reel is in mint condition. The 2nd owner was a collector and kept this reel in a display case. He had a copy of the original paperwork and knew the history of the reel, which he relayed to me when I bought the reel from him a few months ago.

Comes with original Bogdan suede bag.

Asking $3100 —> price drop to $2900 —> $2750, and I'll pay for insured shipping to the CONUS only.

PayPal preferred, but cleared checks okay, too. Split fees on PayPal (add 1.5%). Email for better photos if desired.

Uploading pics. 2nd photo shows minor marks on reel foot from being mounted on a rod.

The page only gave me an option of posting the photos "re-sized". They are clear photos when I take them but show up blurry when I post. I don't know how to make them clearer, sorry.

Bogdan

If you're in the market, and know your gear, these images are okay. They show the areas where value is determined. This is a reel that looks unused. In as near to brand new shape as any out there. Looks like the original bag.

Best of luck on your sale, Sir.

It appears to be one of the last era Stan made. I have a Salmon 2 with the same finish. You mentioned that the previous owner had the original paperwork - do you have it now? If so, what is the history and the build date?

Lovely reel by the way. I’m really tempted but it is a bad time of the year.

This is what happens when you have an addiction to nice pricy reels. You can no longer afford a good camera.

As much as I want this reel, the price at this time is out of reach for me. Dammit!

It's not the camera or photo. When you attach pictures directly to speypages, the site compresses the file, resulting in a poor quality image.

Nice reel!

A good photo compression should not have this effect, but perhaps the speypages auto compress does a horrible job. A good one takes more time. Do the compression before you attempt an upload. You have no business trying to cold upload a 15 megapixel (or something) image online and simply hoping everything will turn out right.

Also, blurry is only skin deep, but the bad lighting and composition go right to the bone. Almost enough to turn me off my vicarious stimulation at seeing such a beautiful reel. Come on, you wouldn’t blow off a close up picture of Anne Hathaway like this! For a lot of us these pics are the closest we will ever get to such a reel - have some pity on us.

sinktip,

I do not have the paperwork but have seen a copy of it. You are right, this is a late Stan work from the late 90s if I remember correctly. This is the story I got about the reel: the original owner had intentions of using this reel but held on to it for a while and unfortunately ended up passing away before ever fishing with it or even putting a line on it. His family sold it to the collector from whom I purchased it. The collector kept it for several years but then decided to sell it to fund other interests. Thus it came to me. I would really like to keep it but have decided to try to find a Salmon 2 (funny you mentioned your Salmon 2 above) or a 150, so I'm selling this model 0. I have another model 0 and cannot justify keeping two around.

Have had a couple of inquiries to see if the reel is still available - it is indeed still available.

Thanks.
