FS Sage Two Hander 9 Weight 15'

I am selling a Sage 9150-4 Graphite IIIe two handed fly rod. The rod casts beautifully and is in excellent condition. Rod tube and sock are included. My asking price is $325 and includes paypal fees.

This is a good deal. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I have too many and I think my wife just got a Speypages username so she can spy on me😃 Just kidding honey.

Lines for the 9150

My primary line for mine is a Scientific Anglers 8/9 Mastery, with the head cut back to 60 feet and looped for tips; weight around 650 grains. It is also well fitted with a S. A. 600 grain Skagit Supreme intermediate head. Skagit heads are not just for short to medium spey rods.

I fished it with a McKenzie 56' 9/10 and it works great.

I have not found a grain weight spec listed anywhere for the McKenzie. Rio's recommendation is 540-650.

I would guess that this rod would do well with a Nextcast 8/9 FF 70' with a weight of 730 grn.

I have this rod and I use a couple lines on it. Delta mint green9/10 wt, rio windcutter 9wt, and a carron jet stream 10/11 wt. they all fish well but the delta is my favorite. I got a smoking deal on it used and with reel and line.
Good luck with your sale.

I'm off to the Gaspe to fish the Matapedia River for two weeks. I'm leaving on Monday. We still have two days to ship this rod before I go.

Excuse me for my entrance on your advertising. I had purchased this rod new on close out during its build year, but I often think this is in my top 5.
a good line then (before line advancements) was a wind cutter or delta long
great casting rod

I am quite surprised that this rod hasn't sold. You can now find it listed on ebay,
