Hardy Gold Sovereign 11/12

I think the biggest one for salmon is 11/12?
Someone knows about somone that knows someone that would like to sell such a reel?

Your correct that is the largest size that was made. I have one that I bought when they came out & still think it is a beautiful reel to fish with having an incredibly smooth action & drag as it runs directly on 2 asymetrical ball races - it even has a nickel silver [I think] line guard which is rarely seen on modern reels. I used to have the 9/10 model as well but this was stolen some years ago [Curse the miserable wretch who nicked it - it was one of the early serial numbered ones as well !].

They are rarely seen for sale second hand, so I suppose those who have them are of the same opinion as myself & intend to hang on to them. But try the second hand sections of tackle dealers like Stephen J Fawcetts or John Norris in the UK & you may get lucky.

I believe you are right. People have the same opinion as you - they that have this reel will not sell. I will try to contact those 2 you mention. Dont think I have heared about them before. So thank you.
