Forecast 12' 6"

For sale Forecast 12'6" 4 piece spey rod. In good shape, custom built by Brad Hanson.Very small chunk out of cork on top grip, could easily be filled. Does not affect grip. No rod tube. Will send with rod sock in heavy cardboard tube. Great rod but I have another that is moving into the rotation and this does not get fished. First one to come up with $145.00 takes it. I will pay shipping.

Mac,

Tons of info in the archives about it. Rated 7-8 but I found it was probably more of a true 8 to 8+. It threw a 550 skagit very well with as big of tips(including T-14) and flies as you want. They say it is a medium fast action rod. I believe a lot of people liked the Hardy Mach lines on it for floaters, in the 8-9 range. I fished an Orvis short belly floater in 10wt on it and it handled it fine. Basically, line it up a bit it can take it.

The SA Skagit 500 also works well on it, and I would assume that the 550 would as well. I like the lighter grain weight for myself.

The 500 also works great on my TFO Deer Creek 13' 7/8 and is a pleasure to cast with all day!
