Jumbo--tell ya how to do it.. Figured it out yrs ago with firearms as an example--- 2 wheel guns 2 autoloaders 3 scatterguns and 2 rifles... Want a new shotgun? Sell one first and get cha another one right away.. They count them-the mrs that is.. Dont know a winchester mod12 from a benelli.. Just knows that there are 3 shotguns in the vault Samething with rods and reels..3 rods--3 reels....as long as the numbers stay constant, every thing is

" Just because I have deemed myself as important, doesn't mean I am a necessity."

Wars may come and go. But my soldiers stay eternal..

This is why I keep buying T&T rods. The blue tubes leaned up in the corner of the basement just kinda blend together so she can't tell walking by. If she questions a new one, I just tell it has been in the truck for a while, or its Garys and he loaned it to me.

Sorry to hear that, my god I will be toast if she figures out the cost of all the fly fishing tackle accumulated, but then again its my only real vice. No drinking, smoking, porn movies etc, just boring fly fishing

Like you said Jumbo,

The way to get more stuff in the house(guns, rods, reels, etc) is to buy them, and have your buddy show up at the front door with them. The wife answers the door and he says" I'm here to return this (insert smuggled item here) that your husband loaned me 3 months ago". Works like a charm.

I've seen some amazing reproduction of rods and reels at my house if they are left unattended for too long. My 13 and 15 footers got together and produced a beautiful 11'6 last year.I didn't know they could do that.

Some really good ideas here guys ! This is the best thread I've read in a long time !!
Keep the ideas coming ..... I have my eye on a few rods and reels that I need to "borrow" or "test drive"

Maybe Dana could make a DVD on the "How to's of getting your new spey gear in the door" and offer it to each new Speypages subscriber .

Mike

Have you Swung a Spey Fly today ??

I personally prefer the "I am testing a prototype rod design or line for a manufacture so then I also have good excuse to go and fish teh new "prototype' as well.

Question Separate but equal

Separate finacial responsibilities, (bills) checking accounts, credit cards. Storage facility that is off limits. Or start counting her shoes. Or,,,,separate.

I fish because the voices inside my head tell me to.
