it would be nice if you can post how much you want for the reel then asking for offers. It's more important how much it's worth to you then how much a potential buyer wants to pay for it.

Sorry due to being swamped with offers the only fair way is to say that the first offer of 300GBP will secure the deal - buyer to pay postage

Let me get this straight, you offer it for 200 and then when you get a lot of offers, "the only fair fair way" is to say the first 300 gets it?

Dude, you are a piece of work.

I strongly suggest that since you offered it for sale at 200, you either honor that price or take it off this site and sell it via auction at that other place.

Second that one........go put it onto an auction site.

If you offer it up at 200 GBP then because of the interest in the reel you jack it up another 100........thats not right.

( I deleted my other comments after the reel was sold to the first person to contact Nicka with his asking price., as they were on the harsh side......you did the right thing Nicka.)

Very well said lads!!! Honor the original 200GBP or else remove yourself and your goods from this site. By the way,, you are only gonna be out about $100.00 but you'll at least have some integrity left,,, if you have any at all remains to be seen

PS.
For what it is worth,, the only "fair way" to seal this deal is with the FIRST individual who contacted you at your original board posted price. Its simply the way it is done around here

There are only two options, you can fish above me or B-LOW me!!!!!

re PRICE CHANGE ON REEL

I was going to make an offer on his Hardy Spey Rod.He was nice enough to send pics etc but now I am concerned and will definitely not deal with him.

Even if he reverts to original price I don't think he should be allowed back on SPEY PAGES.

He isn't the first person to change his price or not honor it when someone agrees to buy

I too was swamped with interest when I recently sold a Marquis II - very easy to be fair - first come first served at the price stated. To inflate the price due to high demand really is bad form. I believe we have a responsibility to fellow forum members and should not seek to exploit eachother for the sake of a few or $.

Ok guys i got carried away and apologise for any damage caused. I have never done the classified sales on a web site and after reading various comments online about prices getting crazy i thought why not increase the offer price.

My career is an auvtioneer working accross the globe and i suppose i had my work head on.

The reel is 200 GBP plus postage to the first new offer, i see that some of the previous intersest may not want it anymore.

Once again i offer my sincere apologies.

Kind regards

Nicka
