Sage Graphite IV 7141-4, nice, clean, light but powerful fourteen footer. Rod likes lines in the 600-630 grain wt. window.

just out of interest, mate... what year is the rod from? '86?
I can't seem to find any info on the IV...

I would love to own a rod that old.
a definite classic if it's 30yrs old.

I own this rod. It's a very unique and powerful rod. Absolutely the best thing for sunken scandi casting.

7141-4

Vintage late 90-ies for sure.
Great rods, a go-to rod for scandi heads.
I turn the handles down and it opens up the action in the bottom end a bit.
You can throw a lot of lines with this rod or its big brother the 9141-a total cannon.
I think this series went up to a 16'1" 10wt!

Good deal on a great rod.

Yes, the series went from the 6126 to the 10161-4. I have one of the later for sale also.
