Pats Pay it forward thread

Hi there I recently received an unbelievable generous gift from a complete stranger in the fly fishing community.

My financial situation is tight and I am not at a stage in my life where I will be able to fully pay this amazing kindness forward but I will do what I can.

Over the next few months I will be posting several items to give away, this will be an excellent chance for me to sort through my gear.

I would like these items to go to folks with difficult financial circumstances or young anglers. If you do not fit into either of these categories and are interested in an item you are welcome to make a donation to the Steelhead Society of BC for what you think a fair price for the item you want is. This is all on the honour system, no need to provided donation receipts or tell anyone how much you donated.

Donate | Steelhead Society of British Columbia

Thanks to the great people of the fly fishing community here and everywhere else!

Pat

I will cover shipping as "letter" to anywhere

lots more to come as I sort….

This really is awesome of you and you have reminded me why I love this board so much! I have been distant lately and this here brings back some of the memories of why I like this place so much!

"unbelievably generous" - There is plenty of that to go around on this forum. I'll be moving in a few months, so will probably find a few things I no longer need/use!

Pat, the true measure of a man is what he will do for others and expect nothing in return. Your actions are the mark of a real man.
I salute you!

Great gesture Pat! I have a pair of Size 13 Korkers that are used that I'll throw in for someone who needs them more than me. Fit like a size 12 and are a bit snug for my monster feet. Come with felt and hiking soles. Lots of life left in them. Split the shipping with me and they are yours. Shipping is from Kamloops BC.
