Keith McCafferty

His new book "The Gray Ghost Murders" has arrived and is sitting there
patiently waiting for me to finish "Creole Bell." His first offering "The
Royal Wulff Murder" was a great read. Mr McCafferty is a spey pages
member and a terrific writer.
Best to all,

I second praise for the Royal Wulff Murders. A great read and a nice primer for the rivers and lakes of western MT and eastern ID.

Grey Ghost murders

Just finished this great read. Lots of the same cast of characters
from Keith McCafferty's first book, "The Royal Wulff Murders." This time,
Sean S (guide, artist,part-time sleuth) is hired to find several valuable
flies. Along the way, he encounters a new love interest and, of course,
some murder cases. My home town of Petoskey, Mi even gets
mentioned several times.
Mr McCafferty is a spey pages member and a talented story teller.

Grey Ghost Murders

Thanks for the "heads up" re this new offering. I read the Royal Wulff Murders a year or so back and enjoyed it immensely. I'll be looking for this one in anticipation!

SS,
No pictures or graphics in the book; so if you have an ereader, buy it there and save a buck or two. Here's the Amazon review -

When the graves of two men are discovered on Sphinx Mountain, Sheriff Martha Ettinger suspects murder. But with the only evidence a hole in a skull that might or might not have been caused by a bullet, she once more finds herself turning to private investigator Sean Stranahan for help. Stranahan already has a case, having been hired by a group of eccentric fly fishermen called The Madison River Liars and Fly Tiers Club to find a valuable fly that they suspect has been stolen. Could the disappearance of a vintage Gray Ghost from a riverside cabin in the Madison Valley be connected to the gray ghosts who haunt Sphinx Mountain? Stranahan will cross paths, and arms, with some of the most powerful people in the valley to find out, in a novel that is sure to capture new fans for one of the mystery genre’s rising stars.

Already looking forward to his next creation.

Thanks from Keith McCafferty

Thanks guys for the kind words. Just finished revising book three to be published next February. It's called "Dead Man's Fancy" after a steelhead fly of my own design. I'm working with the artist on the cover design now, have high hopes. Tight lines and good reading, Keith.

Which hand do you turn the page with?

Just having some fun with a thread under "General."
Keith McCafferty's books belong on every fisherperson's read list.
I practically guarantee that your mate is going to want to read the
books when she/he wonders why you're chortling, nodding your head, or just
can't put it down.
Really looking forward to the next one. Think it has some spey fishing in it.

Thanks for sharing your talents - the first two have been great reads - I will put a February reminder on the calendar to get number three.

are you starting #4 yet

"The true purpose of a fly rod is to prevent its bearer from being arrested for vagrancy, for the delight of trout fishing is not the full creel but things seen and people met. A roughly dressed man idling with a rod in his hand is an angler; without it he is a vagabond." Sparse Grey Hackle

Thanks again

Trying my hardest, guys and thanks again for the kind words. Just got back from tarpon and permit fishing in the lower Keys and somehow caught a bad cold. Soon as I recover it's on to the fourth book. Keith
