True Love and the Wooly Bugger by Davie Ames

This is a touching and engaging book. Has anyone else read it?

(I'm so glad I found this site, I'm becoming a voracious reader in addition to avid fisherman and there are such great reviews and new books in here. Thanks!)

David Ames is a superb writer. Irreverent might be a good way to describe his writing. Although I think "True Love" was his best effort, you'll probably also enjoy "A Good Life Wasted" and "Dances with Sharks". Dave inscribed my copy of "A Good Life" saying, "Momma, don't let your babies grow up to be fishing guides!" That pretty well sums up the theme of the book.

Great, thanks!

I'll pick up those other two for sure.

Love Ames' writing. True love and Good life wasted were both great reads for me. I haven't read Dances with Sharks but I got to pick that one up soon. Having a new baby 2 months ago has put a crimp in my reading pile.
