LANI WALLER River of Dreams

River of Dreams by Lani Waller with illustrations by Bill Allen. Foreward by John Randolf and introduction by Dave Whitlock, hardcover $24.95. I just received this book and finished it in two days. fifteen short stories revolving around flyfishing from B.C. to Southern Salt. anything from comedy to amazing trajedy and most of it a very compelling read. i would highly recommend it especially at this time of winter (for most).
Published by West River Publishing, which is Rick Kustich's company based in Grand Island NY. he does have a web site but since he is not a sponsor you will have to find the site on your own. in the act of full disclosure Rick is a friend, unfortunatly i have never met Mr. Waller.

couldn't put it down

I'll second BF's recommendation - I picked this book up and couldn't put it down. A great read!

I agree... I recently finished it and it's excellent. I always liked Lani from his 3M videos and his technical articles in magazines and I like him even more now. I noticed on the back sleeve that it say's that he is now working on a book called "Steelhead". Now that should be a great book.

River of Dreams by Lani Waller

Surprisingly to me, this is one of the best-written and enjoyable angling books I have read in a long time (and I read most of them)! I guess it never occurred to me that Mr. "How-to-catch-steelhead Video" Waller could write an essay.. Unfortunately, the book doesn't appear to be available in the shops in B.C., which is a real shame. I had to order my copy direct from Kustich.

Poul

p.s. if anyone has an e-mail address for Lani, please PM me.
