Snake Roll Questions

Did any of you Spey cast vets learn the snake roll cast with your single-handed rod before you became a TH caster? Any pluses or minuses or other observations about trying to learn it SH first?

No matter how you first learned the snake roll -- Spey or single-handed -- do you have any advice or insights about casting elements that must be done differently between the SH and TH casting modes (lift, timing for the oval, etc.)?

Thanks for your observations.
