Lots of rivers! I use my B&W 17' 6" Walker Rod all the time on the Cleawater and the Snake! It's a lot of fun.

I regularly use,18ft,17ft and 16fter's and there is a time and a place for such rods. However lets be honest over the content of those video's,most are no where near effective fishing casts at all are they?.
My 18ft Hardy will pick up a DT 12 40yd floater on the back taper and cast it off the reel, only if every thing is right and my technique is up to it on the day!.
Any road, off to the gym now,got two weeks of the 17fter and BIGGGGGG shooting heads on the lower Tay,can't wait!.Wheel chair n zimmer frame here I come!,oahhhhh!
Yorkie-with fore arms like a rugby players thighs, lol.

18 footers? - Boy's rods!

Remember that 20 ft Walker I bought in a rush of blood to head Mate?

I can feel my shoulder tightening up at the thought of it now......it put out a hell of a line though.

Regards, Tyke.

I fished with two guys who had 21fters!,a reet handful they were, lift hell of a length of line though. At the time I got my 18ft Favourite,Hardy would produce a 20fter on request. For us mere "average sized" mortals, bit of a workout a full day with one of those.Where'd you get the lines to work them nowadays?
