Smile Hi all..new to spey pages

Wow cool site..I've heard of it for some time, just never remembered to check it out.Loads of good stuff and it sounds like there may be an addict or two amoung you...yep this must be the right place.

I just picked up a z axis 7136 yesterday. The only other two hander I have owned and cast is the old graphite III 9140..things have changed abit.Have any of you cast this rod and what is your opinion. Also line recomendations would be cool. I bought a rio midspey 7/8 and thought it loaded well.I am wondering if I can get away with useing my 550 gr skagit ? Some people have said this rod is quite like an 8 wt and could probably handle it.Any input would be welcome.Tight lines and nice to meet you all...jack

First a warm welcome to the Board! Couple of places to check line recommendations are RIO's web site and ditto Poppy's at the Red Shed. Wealth of info in both places.
