Hi Dana.
If I wasn't working that Sunday, I would definitely have come out. Are you going to be at the M&Y Speyclave? If you are...I will come say hi as I was going to say hi to Kush as well. Would like to meet some members on this great site.

I'll be on the Skeena teaching a casting/fishing school the weekend of the M&Y clave so unfortunately I won't be there.

That's too bad Dana. I guess I'll have to make an introduction at another time.

Hi Dana

In the "eyes/ears/eyes" vid you have a definate upward movement of the bottom hand with the underhand stroke combined with the bottom hand pull.It seems to make the top hand describe an arc.Your pivot point seems to be slightly above the reel??. I'm curious, what does this accomplish/compensate for???? tight loops??? In many of the other underhand stroke vids/descriptions the bottom hand pullls back horizontally or down, pivoting around the upper hand. Just wondering???

Will,

"eyes-ears-eyes" is not the underhand method but a teaching tool for learning the basics of the more traditional type of casting stroke.
