looking for a THCI in DC area

Title says it all. Met a fellow on a recent BC trip that had never cast a spey rod before. By the end of the week, he was making passable casts, but the addiction has taken hold, and he needs help with his casting in preparation for next year.

Jim

I can't understand why some folks think a drink can is harder to carry out when it is empty than it was to carry in when it was full.

There is a cadre of CIs and THCIs that hang out on this forum.

John Bilotta.

He taught at this year's Fly Caster's Rendezvous, run by the Antietam Fly Anglers club. He's also an MCI.

Good luck.

Jim,

The IFFF has 3 casting certifications:

  • CI - Casting Instructor: The first level of casting instructor for single-hand rods
  • MCI - Master Casting Instructor: The highest level of casting instructor for single-hand rods
  • THCI - Two Hand Casting Instructor

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the recommendation. I passed John's contact info to my friend. It's up to him now,
