Instructors Clave

Has the thought of us who would like to up grade our skills as instructors and having a small clave gone. Last I herd was those who wanted to were having a hard time figuring out a date and place. Any new thought or ideas?

nothing new so far

I don't think it would take much to get off the ground, but we would need a small group to act as steering committee and get started. I would be interested in participating in the organization, and I think Aaron at Speyshop would be too.

Thumbs up Leroy and Dana

I have had some interest in the Instrutors Speyclave.
But only have so many hours in a day.
As Dana suggested we need someone who would want to put together a steering committee.
I would love to help in any way that I could.
Most of the people that I have talked to do want any formal origination participating in it at this time.
They would like to keep as Speycasting Instruction for Speycaster and be done with it.

my thinking is that an instructors' clave would be designed to get people who teach spey together in one place to share ideas and strategies, as opposed to an opportunity for people to receive casting instruction. Workshops in various casting styles might be a good idea though for those who are interested.

Aaron when you refer to a concern about the participation of formal organizations are you meaning fly shops, the FFF, tackle makers, a fishing club, speypages/speyclave, or...?

I hope this clears it up.

Dana,
What I was referring to be that until some formal guide lines they would rather just get together and work on Instruction rather than waiting.

I have had many of Roomer Has it E-mails on this subject and have been waiting for some concert word of something.

I can safely say that I feel many others are doing the same with a wait and see attitude on the certification issues.

Here again I need input from all fly shops, the FFF, tackle makers, a fishing club, speypages/speyclave, or...?

Let me hear from you and there is no better place to do that than right here.

I need a time and place in the Northwest for an Instructors Speyclave.

Instructors Clave

Am in agreement with Aaron and Dana about having a informal, formal get together to share ideas and discuss strategies about the finer points of teaching Spey Casting.
What can I do to help?

Lessons and instructors

Howdy Gang.
How many could or are going to the FFF international Conclave in Idaho Fall, Id Aug 4-9? This is more or less [mostly westerly] of Mid Country.
Because the class that is given was full the same day it was posted. Yea I missed it.
I will be teaching fly casting at the Youth Camp on Thuresday and Friday is Youth Fishing,
NOW if you could plan it for Saturday Then I could make it all in one trip....
Just a thought..
