Choice of Cast..
It depends.... But assume a dry line/fly presentation... and do it again with a different line, say a 20 fott sink tip/large(r) tube fly
SCENE 1: I am facing the river from the bank, about 3 feet deep where I stand, about 15 feet away from the fairly noxious overhanging tree line behind me
The river flow is from my left to my right
The wind is from my left to my right (downstream)
The fish I sighted is about 75 feet across from me, about 45 degrees angle downstream
ANSWER: ??

This is not a test for instructors but an attempt to show what I believe would be important to learn at a seminar for new Spey Casters, and be reasonably capable of executing a cast to the fish. Illustrations on a whiteboard, like hand position on the rod etc. would be usefull to help understand the differences.
