Thumbs up

This Saturday folks. All proceeds heads straight to the Reel Recovery cancer fund. Always a good time rain or shine.Last year Verno was wearing a life vest and still was able to spin some of his sweet magic!

Check it out here http://neffguide.com/dfldspeyday.html

Hope to see you all there!!

I'm booked for the flats that day but if anything changes there I'll drop in for sure. That's a great location and it's not everyday you get to hang with fellow Spey casters in MA

Thanks for the heads up

Very pleased to see this on the venue.

"Adapt spey casting to single hand fly rods to gain distance and eliminate back casting in awkward situations."

This has been one of 'my things' for years, glad its coming out of the closet big time. You've got a fairly stiff action 10 foot rod like the Sage XP and man can you ever spey cast with that thing. About the only cast that's 'awkward' is the snake roll unless you've got pretty darned strong shoulders.

That's great. Not sure if it's the same river, but we have a Deerfield river in VT where a 20 LB brown came from a few years back. It was released, caught again this year on opening day, but then killed...not sure if it's getting mounted or what.

Deerfield Spey Day

I want to thank Walt Geryk and all of his helpers for a wonderful day of watching good spey instruction from Walt and a raffle plus an auction of many spey related items. It was a dry day (not like last year) and everyone enjoyed the lunch as well as the activities with all of the profits being sent to the charity Reel Recovery.
