SOJ mini spey clave

Are you guys referring to the one at Tou Velle Park? I'm thinking somewhere close to a major holiday weekend? Memorial day? Labor day weekend? That one is put on by Gary Anderson, Anderson Custom Rods (sponsor) Why not fore go all the mystery & just give him a call?

I fish because the voices inside my head tell me to.

Hey Mike,

Don't think that is going to happen again ... To bad as it WAS A GOOD TIME !!!

Check with Gary as he may be taking his Touvelle event to Valley of the Rogue park this year.

Most interesting, any idea why? Ask as there's very little in the way of (easily accessible) 'casting water' in the immediate area. At Tou Velle all you had to do is walk over the bank and across over the Island. Further into the park ("E" section as an example) might be a better location.

That said, even if there's no 'sponsored event' these were always a hoot and a great get-together. I like Jim's idea; lets pick a date and just do it!

Fred and JD

The "State of Jefferson" gathering in Cottonwood, CA and Gary's "Two Hands at Touvelle" in Medford, OR are two different gigs.

Thanks Bob, I'd long forgotten that. But any idea why the change of location (assuming that will be the case)?

Well Fred,

Several reasons.

It's a well equipped camp ground.

And ... After the days events, one can sit around a camp fire with friends <> Cook a fine meal on the grill, sip Scotch and get silly well into the wee hours for a couple of evenings ... };^) ... !!!

... Also does have lot's of good fishing water right in it's back yard.

A few of the reasons why the Sandy has been such a successful gathering.

Thanks Bob, too bad.

As to the mystery and confusion I still don't know who is on first base.
