I will be there with the 13' rod that I posted the photo essay on it's construction.

I will have several other two-handed rods with me as well as some single handed trout rods.

Just look for an old curmudgeon with a jumbled mess of cane rods. I would be happy for anybody to stop and say hi and cast a few rods.

What a great weekend! Thanks to all the folks who put this together. I highly recommend this outing.

In spite of the cold wind, drizzling rain, rain mixed with sleet there was a nice crowd. The casting sessions were all well attended. Besides the casting demonstrations there was casting going on on the river all day with people trying out rods and lines, new techniques, or getting some help with their casting.

I am looking forward to attending this one again next year.

I stopped and caught Jeff's talk. Walked away with 3 to 4 things. Jeff is a good speaker. Stopped and watch your 5 wt Michigan stream rod casted. Nice looking bamboo.

Gonna try and put this one on the schedule for next year. That is quite the line up of talent for presenters. Will second that Jeff is a great guy and a damned good caster and teacher I might add. Also have not experienced Midwest steelheading yet and am looking forward to it and meeting new friends.

I have been going for about 5-6 years. Great casters and presenters. Definitely the most friendly and most generous group of guys I have ever been with. Catapalooza is at the top of my "Do not miss list!"
